Esther Nnorom
Hi everyone, I’m Esther!
I’m thrilled to join the Internet Society team as Foundation Director, Learning, Evaluation, and Impact. My journey in the nonprofit and international development sectors began about two decades ago, with half of that time spent working on monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) activities.
Before joining the Internet Society, I was the Senior Officer for MEL on USAID’s $100M Inclusive Development and Equitable Assistance Leader with Associate Award. My work there involved creating performance monitoring systems and making sure that teams around the world were aligned with the bigger strategic goals, while also strengthening their agency to make strides on their own objectives. I’ve also worked in sectors like health systems strengthening, water and sanitation, poverty eradication, and civic engagement.
What gets me out of bed each day is the opportunity to help teams make an impact that is positive, real, and lasting. I enjoy contributing to the incredible work the Internet Society is doing around the globe by empowering teams to use data to not only measure success but to make sure we’re always learning, improving, expanding, and sustaining impact. I believe the work we do at the intersection of technology and society is incredibly powerful, especially in making the internet more accessible and equitable for everyone.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my family, watching movies, or just hanging out with friends. I’m also into personal growth and faith—always looking for ways to improve and learn, and to inspire others to do same.
