Ana Afonso
I work as a Communications Specialist at the Internet Society Foundation, helping the Philanthropy team’s communications efforts and supporting the Foundation’s communications strategy.
In my 20 years of experience in the communications field, I’ve consistently worked on projects to increase organizations’ visibility. I come from a diverse professional background spanning communication, marketing, media relations, tourism, trade, and international and public affairs, having worked for the Portuguese and Canadian governments before joining the Foundation.
I hold a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
In my free time, I enjoy reading non-fiction, doing personal development, health and wellness activities, having inspiring conversations, immersing myself in nature, and going for long walks on the beach or somewhere near the ocean.
